hey stranger

didn't think I'd find you here. Oh wait, maybe you didn't think you'd find me here--I know it's been a while-sorry. Life is super busy. (and I am wildly popular and all that, sooooo...)
Anyway, we are all well, and getting excited for the holidays coming up. My shop is doing well and keeping me busy. I am trying to make everything I can think of out of beeswax these days, and possibly have a small (to medium) addiction to online shopping. Usually it's stuff for my shop that I can use to make other stuff, or sell with my stuff, but, um, sometimes it's lip stick and jewelery, kind of depends on the time of day, how the kids are treating me and how many cocktails I have had. :)
Layla and Maggie are both LOVING school, and let's be honest, I am also a huge fan. I get almost 3 hours, 2 days a week all to myself. I am supposed to be using it to work in my shop and run errands, but sometimes I just sit back, drink my coffee while it's still hot and have my english muffin in peace and quiet. They had a day off the other day and I was so mad! I almost took them anyway, but decided that maybe that wouldn't be the best idea, so I thought I would just take the opportunity to sleep in-haha-silly me. They have to be hauled out of bed every school day, but on vacation days, apparently they can't handle missing 6am. Why is life like that? There isn't even any good tv on that early. (just kidding-Alan got the 3000 cable channels to go with his ginormous tv, so there is ALWAYS something on. Freud would have something to say about this I am sure of it!)
Tonight is the JDRF awards banquet, we are finally going to attend this year. We have blown it off every year so far; well, one year there was an ice storm and it was cancelled at the last minute (I mean we were dressed up and headed out the door) so we went out to dinner instead and gave Layla a pack of bubblegum (sugarless) for her "prestigious award" when you're 3, that's big. So, I should say we are planning to attend. So far the sun is out and the weather is unseasonably warm for the week before Thanksgiving, so hopefully we'll make it.
So, now you are caught up, sorry it's been so long, please be patient. This is a busy time for us, I will probably post again in the new year, so until then.....Happy Holidays, and I wish you and yours health and happiness. Have a fun and safe season!
